I started my career making documentaries around the world. I was always driven to tell real, dramatic stories. That doesn't change when the brief is a fashion campaign or a luxury brand — it expands. Fashion, luxury, and elevated lifestyle brands aren't just selling a product, they are selling a connotation and an emotion. This is where I thrive.
I believe ordinary people are the most extraordinary subjects. The complexity behind someone's eyes, the moment before they've composed themselves — that's what I'm always after. Whether working with a celebrity, model, or non-talent, I treat each the same. My job is to find their essence and make the viewer feel it before they've had time to think.
I approach this work spiritually. I move through new environments curious first, listening before I speak, arriving without entitlement. Throughout my life, strangers have told me deeply personal stories. I used to find that strange. Now I understand it's my most valuable asset. On set I treat directing like making a new friend — because if we can be friends, even just for that day, what comes through the lens is true. And truth is what converts.
I thrive under pressure — it's when I'm at my best. I move fast and make decisive calls because energy is fragile and the job of the director is to be the creative and energetic beacon of the project. Advertising is the combination of art and business. Clients come back because the work doesn't just look right. It feels right — elevated, alive, layered. I've never had a plan B, and I treat every campaign or project that way.
